As you'd expect, the Amsterdam zoo was full of all kinds of animals. Below is a little slide show widget of them all.

One of the features of the zoo is a lemur island, where the bridge onto the island is traversable by human, but not lemur. On this patch of land, you can get very close to the animals.

Since I *am* holding a camera in that picture, here's the scene from my perspective.

The flip side of this is that they can get very close to you.

Maybe a little too close. My camera's not made out of food, but that didn't stop him from trying!

The keeper later told us that the lemurs are not usually so rambunctious around people (we were the only ones on the island at the time). Thanks for the experience, lemurs!
